My wife and I have worked with Tom on two separate occasions over the past few years. The first time was back in 1996 with the design and construction of our new Beauty Salon in North Fond du Lac. We met with Tom with some hand-sketched ideas and some general themes we wanted in the new construction. After a couple of iterations, we agreed on the design for the new building. Tom did a very good job in creating an architectural drawing and plan by taking our simple design and ideas. Throughout the planning stage, Tom was able to work with us, suggesting different ideas to take advantage of space and following building code requirements. Tom was able to make recommendations as to what builders he would recommend for the type and size of our project. Tom worked with us and our builder throughout the project, bringing all the individuals together to make sure everyone was on the same page regarding the design and timetable.

The second time we worked with Tom was to add an addition to the original construction. This addition was in the fall of 2003. Here again, Tom was able to understand what we wanted to accomplish and worked with us to be as cost conscious as possible but still attain what we wanted with the addition. In some cases where time was of the essence, Tom knew what he could do to speed up the process.

My wife and I would recommend tom as a very capable architect.

I have had the opportunity to work on a professional basis with Mr. Tom Meiklejohn, AIA. Tom worked with our company (Ahern-Gross Plumbing) on two major office remodeling projects at our Main Street location in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

I also recently finished an eighteen month remodeling project on my personal residence that Tom was instrumental in.

I have been very satisfied with Tom's understanding of these projects and his thorough thought process in achieving a great end result.
